Our Patron

'Saint James', one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ is the heavenly Patron of our School. 'Saint James', his brother John, and Peter were considered to be the three most important Apostles. They were with Jesus whenever he did anything really important. For example, James was one of the twelve Apostles who went up to Mount Tabor with Jesus the day He appeared in His glory (transfiguration). James was also with Jesus when they were in the garden of Gethsemane, the night before Jesus dies. He, Peter and John failed to stay awake and pray with Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, but later on he was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, for he was one of the first martyrs of the Church. He was killed by King Herod around the year 42 AD, and is venerated especially at Compostable in Spain where there is a magnificent Church dedicated in his honour.

May Saint James, our heavenly Patron intercede for all of us and guide, protect and bless our school, staff and students which is under his heavenly patronage.
